Club Matchplay Competition. Entries for registrations will open in early August. Keep an eye out for a special email which will be sent to all eligible members. Entries will close on the 1st September. Competition starts on the 13th September

Safer Plates Initiative

Thanks to everyone who showed up for the Safer Plater Initiative last Thursday (17th July). 

We had a great time and hit the ground running with a few early birds! We managed to process around 30 vehicles and welcomed 20 new sign-ups to Neighbourhood Support.

While the weather didn’t quite play ball and the course had to be closed, we adjusted expectations and made the most of it. We were especially grateful for the strong Police presence—five vehicles and eight officers, including senior staff—which was really well received by those who attended. One of the recipients even dropped off some food, which was a lovely surprise! plus Janetta from Devonport Publishing came down and interviewed the Police and us.

Next time, we’ll aim for a summer event—most likely early in the New Year. Keep your eyes on the Newsletter and Facebook page for any updates on this.

What’s your favourite thing about WGC? I love the proximity of the course to my home, and the people here are great
