Hi, on this brilliant sunny day!

Isn't this week's weather just delightful? A little winter sun goes a long way. Great for getting out, burning off the cobwebs, and keeping your stroke sharp. As I always say, consistency through the cooler months is your secret weapon for a stellar summer handicap. (My clubs are still waking up...but they'll be ready soon, promise.)

Just popping in with an extra-helpful, tee-time-worthy weather heads-up and all the details you need to be swinging by Tuesday for our Birthday Bash.

The Weather Looks Great for Golf

According to the long-range forecast:

  • Expect a pleasant day—pretty perfect conditions for getting in a round. Think mild winter sun, with just enough chill to keep things brisk and invigorating.

Extras You'll Love On The Day

  • Milestone Birthdays Lunch, stay for a delicious lunch after your round. At this event, we've made it easy to grab lunch you choose and pay for at the café, then enjoy eating upstairs with your group.
  • Raffles, don't spend ALL your lunch money, save $5! Bring cash (yes, real cash!) because these raffles are always a hit and support both the club and our fabulous chef. You really won't want to miss these prizes.

Rule Reminder of the Week - Dropping & Replacing Procedures

Let's get into Rule 14 from the PDF sent out, which covers the nitty-gritty of marking, lifting, dropping, and replacing your ball properly. Essential to keep everyone playing fair and stress-free:

  • Mark before lifting: Always mark your ball's spot with a ball-marker or place a club behind it. If you don't, you'll incur a one-stroke penalty.
  • Correct drops are key: When taking relief, you must drop the ball from knee height, without spinning or influencing its path, and within the correct relief area. If you drop improperly, you must re-drop; there are no penalties, but you will feel like a dork for being caught out.
  • Play from the right place: Playing your ball from the wrong spot (even accidentally) results in the general penalty, which is two strokes in stroke play or loss of hole in match play.

Toasty warm regards,

Penny & Sheridan

P.S. Keep that energy up, brush off the chill, and bring your best swing to Tuesday 19 August. This Birthday Bash is shaping up to be a really fun, memorable day—and we want every one of you there!
