We’re pleased to announce that Waitemata Golf Club will continue to host the Laurie Hewitt Memorial Day. In the past, this has been run by the Laurie Hewitt Memorial Trust with assistance from Waitemata Golf Club. This year, Laurie Hewitt Memorial Trust has handed over the management of the event to the club. The proceeds from the event will continue to benefit the local community. All profits will be donated to local schools (ie. Schools on the Hauraki peninsula) who require additional funding in their Special Needs Departments. In this way, we continue to celebrate the life of Laurie Hewitt by supporting the causes which were closest to his heart.
 
The date of the event this year is 12th November 2025.
 
The format will continue to be similar to previous years.
  • Single Stableford Competition with one trophy to be awarded.
  • The field will be split into two divisions; and there will be five individual prizes in each division.
  • Alongside the individual prizes, the teams will be playing Stableford best 3 of 4. Ther are 10 prizes to be won for the top10 teams.
You can enter this competition individually, or as a team. Please clearly indicate (via email) if you wish to enter with a specific group of people – otherwise organisers will create their own groups.
 
Cost: $125.00pp / $500.00per group of four.
 
The Timetable for the day will be as follows:
11am: Registration Opens
11:30am: BBQ Burgers service begins
12:30pm: Welcome, rules etc.
12:45pm: Walk to starting tees
1:00pm: Shotgun Start
5:00-5:30pm: Round complete. Head upstairs to the Clubhouse
5:30-6:00pm: Light dinner
6:00pm: Prizegiving
6:30pm: Auction
