Bayleys ProAm at Waitemata Golf Club

Things are gearing up for the Bayleys 2026 ProAm on the 5th February!

We’re pleased to announce that a few of our Australasian Tour Players, headlined by Mike Hendry, have decided to skip the Sydney Tour Event that week and will instead be joining us for this event – so we’re very excited to welcome them to Waitemata.

If you're interested in helping out on the day (and seeing some great golf from the sidelines) please get in touch with Marlies by emailing: admin@waitematagolf.co.nz. We're looking for 3-4 volunteers to manage the BBQ / drinks / general help.

SUNDAY MIXED PAIRS supported by CRAIGS INVESTMENT PARTNERS

Hi everyone,

Welcome to 2026 and our second year of mixed pairs events. Firstly we would like to provide some feedback on the quick survey that we asked participants to complete at our last event.

1. Number of events per year - vast majority said stay with six

2. Raffles - 31 to 9 voted yes

3. Whilst the 2 person ambrose was the favourite, closely followed by "best ball" the majority would like to see a mix of event types.

With all of that in mind we have set the calendar for the year as follows:

Sunday 1st February - combined stableford

Sunday 1st March - best ball stableford

Sunday 3rd May - best ball stableford ( with a twist!! )

Sunday 14th June - Canadian Foursomes

Sunday 11th October - best ball stableford

Sunday 6th December - 2 person ambrose

The cost to play this year will be $15pp split as follows:

$10pp will fund the prizes and $5pp will give each participant 3 raffle tickets. Everyone is more than welcome to purchase additional tickets in the raffle but as a number of people do not carry cash with them anymore we thought it would be easier to operate the raffle this way. It also gives us a degree of certainty in prize spend.

As with last year we will be discounting green fees for 9 hole members and visitors are welcome. We would also like to mention that Juniors are most welcome as well. Either as partners with a parent or two juniors together. And please remember this is more about meeting new members and socialising than it is about the golf. The prizes will continue as last year - meatpacks, chickens and wine.

Entries are now open for the first event so please email either Pauline bridgy@xtra.co.nz or Gary g.mcalister@xtra.co.nz

All the very best for 2026

Picking up your plastics...

A reminder to please pick up your plastics on the course. This includes broken tee markers, wrappers etc. We've been seeing an increase of these on the course.

Call up and let us know if the bins are full; or just pop the rubbish in your bag until you're back at the clubhouse.

Let's be tidy kiwis with this!
