Hi,

Short and sweet this week as I heard some of you don’t read my emails! WHAT! lol

First up, a reminder to complete the annual 9-Hole Ladies Survey. We’ve already had nearly 25% of our members respond, which is excellent. Thank you to everyone who has already taken the time to fill it out.

The survey helps guide decisions for the coming season, and the more voices we hear, the better those decisions will be.

Please take a few minutes to complete it here:

https://forms.gle/d1f4FqsgA4QfbhZd6

If it asks you to log into a Google account and you don’t have one, just ignore that and continue through to answer the questions.

I’ll leave it open until the end of this week.

Second - Gobbler - get your entries in for the year ahead. $3!

Key 9-Hole Dates for Your Diary

Please pop these in your calendar now:

• Open Day (hosting North Shore players – volunteers needed) – Monday 4 May
• Mid-Winter Event – Tuesday 16 June
• Birthday Bash – Tuesday 8 September
• Closing Day – Tuesday 8 December

More details for each event will be available closer to the time, but it’s always helpful to lock in the dates early.

Pennants – Thank You

A big thank you to everyone who helped when we hosted Pennants this week. These days, only run smoothly because members step in and help out.

Special thanks to Juliette for all her organisation and for keeping a calm head while answering a million rules questions and managing players teeing off all over the place. It was much appreciated.

Bunker Renovation Project

You may have seen the information circulated about the proposed bunker renovation project.

The Board has asked Turf and Drainage to review all bunkers on the course and propose upgrades, changes and removals. Their report suggests a full renovation programme costing around $500,000, spread over five years, which would mean a $100 bunker levy per member per year for five years.

To help members understand the proposal and ask questions, there will be an information evening in the Clubhouse on Tuesday 17 March at 7:00pm.

No decisions will be made on the night. It is purely an opportunity to learn more about the proposal and raise any questions or concerns before anything goes to the AGM.

If you have views on this, the best thing you can do is turn up and hear the details. It’s far better to be informed and part of the conversation than to stay silent now and be frustrated later if a levy is introduced.

More information and the report are available through the documents circulated by the club.

Thanks everyone, and please remember to complete the survey if you haven’t already.

See you on the course.
