Hi Ladies,

This week we’re wrapping up the final part of the survey results, and there were some really strong themes around connection, events, and bringing the group together.

Shotgun start and lunch after

This idea received a really positive response overall.

A lot of you like it because it:
• brings everyone together at the same time
• creates a stronger club feel
• gives you the chance to meet and play with different people

That said, there were also some practical challenges raised:
• timing doesn’t suit everyone (school drop-offs, work etc.)
• not everyone can stay on for lunch

The clear takeaway is this, you like the idea.

So, for the first day of the month on a Tuesday, we will trial a shotgun start so you can all have lunch together afterwards and be more social like it was in the old days.

We will monitor the logistics of how it's working out and see where we go from there.

Mixing with different players

Another consistent theme was around opportunities to play with different people.

While many of you value your regular groups, there’s also strong interest in:
• meeting new members
• mixing things up occasionally
• building stronger connections across the whole 9-hole group

This ties directly back to what makes this group special: the people. Please keep your buddy playing to other days of the week. When booking on a Tuesday, just book yourself in; do not block-book for you and your friends. This will give a better mix of people and allow new poeple to come along and feel welcome.

What we’re taking from the survey

Across all three weeks, the message has been very clear.

You want:
• enjoyable, social golf
• clear communication
• well-run mornings
• opportunities to connect

Oh - and a toilet on course! I am tempted to make a campaign - Spend a Penny on course and really go for it on getting us a toilet!

A Great Open Day

We had a fantastic Open Day on Monday.

The weather turned it on with a perfect autumn day, and the feedback was that everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. They all wanted us to do it again! Too soon to even talk about that! lol
