9-Hole Ladies Golf Update

Happy King’s Birthday weekend, ladies! Whether you’re hitting the road or staying local, there’s no better time to grab your clubs, soak up the winter sun, and enjoy a cheeky extra day off. Long weekends are made for golf and good company. I played Summerhills in Papamoa on the weekend, and it was a stunning course. But I am glad we don’t have hills like that at home!

This week, we’re encouraging you to keep playing with new people. It's the best way to keep life (and golf!) full of interesting stories. You never know who might share a tip that improves your swing or have a hilarious tale that keeps you laughing all nine holes.

Jam Shed Mid-Winter Christmas is Open for Entries!
Our fabulously festive Mid-Winter Christmas Event sponsored by Jam Shed Wines, which will take place on Tuesday, 24 June, is now open for registration.

Points to remember -

- entries are online (check the attached PDF with instructions on how to enter)

- bring cash for the raffle on the day $5

- complementary mulled wine is ready to warm your hands after

- be at the club for an 8 am briefing and then start at 8.30 am - this gives you time to walk to your tee. The draw will be up the night before, but please don’t think it is gospel, as we always have one or two sick in the morning, so things have to swap around at the last minute. This is life.

We are playing Stableford this time around. We are swapping up the play style at each event to keep all styles of players happy throughout the year.

- we have some GREAT prizes already in too…!

Speaking of prizes, we’ve got some excellent hampers lined up, and we’re still taking donations to go in the basket. Pop your goodies into Marlies in the office. Remember, the more we collect, the more raffles we can run—and the more fun we all get to have on the day. AND the more money goes in our 9-hole ladies' kitty.

Rule Reminder of the Week
Winter leaves can be sneaky ball hiders, but the rule’s still the rule:
If you lose your ball, you have 3 minutes to find it.
If it doesn’t turn up—especially likely in the leafy rough—play a new ball, take a stroke, and carry on. No one likes a chilly search party!

Enjoy the long weekend and don’t forget to say hi to someone new on the green. See you out there!
