Long Weekend

We're happy to inform members that we'll have extended hours for the long weekend this weekend. Bar and Kitchen will be open with a Weekend Menu from 12pm on Monday. Come down to the club for a game and a meal!

SUNDAY MIXED PAIRS GOLF supported by CRAIGS INVESTMENT PARTNERS

Hi everyone,

Entries are now open for  our next mixed pairs events scheduled for Sunday 22nd June  - details are:

Cost per person: $10 for members and $60 for non-members (Visitors welcome) - Waitemata Nine Hole members $25

The start sheet on the day will be a two tee set-up commencing at 11.30am

Enter as a pair or individually and we will endeavour to match you up. 

Prizegiving will follow the golf - the prize fund will be the total of the entry fees received

Please register for this event by Sunday 8th June, by email to either Pauline at bridgy@xtra.co.nz or Gary at g.mcalister@xtra.co.nz. Late entries will be accepted up to the day of play (space permitting) and the entry fee is payable on the day.

We have 56 entries from those that entered on the day of the previous event - there is no need to reconfirm if you have already entered.

How long have you been at WGC? I joined around Feb of 2023, I did Brad's class and got hooked  

What got you interested in golf? I had a set of clubs and moved into a house close to the course. I had to try.  

Favourite Hole: Hole number 4 because today, I did it in four! 

Best Golfing Tip: To get out of the bunker, you have to have a really flat surface to be able to get out safely - IT WORKS  

Dream Golf Foursome: My friends Michelle James, Gale Deverill and Hans Tappas - he’s on the waitlist  

Where would you love to play one day, and why? There's a golf course down south with sheep on it - there is a low sheep fence around each green, and you can choose to hit it over or through it! I love seeing the sheep on the course. 

Golf Goal: I just like the general fitness, friends, and the greenery  

Favourite thing about WGC: I love the staff - they are always so helpful and kind. The cafe has good food too!
