Repairing Divots

We are now in winter which means nothing much is growing (including the grass). When you make a divot, please repair it using the patch of dirt/grass - rather than filling it with sand. If the divot simply has sand poured into it, then the grass won’t regrow and we’ll be left with a bare patch of earth. That can get ugly pretty quickly. So we encourage you all to hunt for your stray patches of earth and fix the divots you make.

Note: Please continue to take sand buckets with you - it's still helpful to repair around the replaced divot!

How long have you been at WGC? May 2024, but I fell and broke my finger and couldn’t play for six months… but I am back now!  

What got you interested in golf? I was quite bored at my retirement village, and my son who belonged to this club recommended golf to me. I am not falling over again and hurting my fingers.  

Favourite Hole: Hole 6 - it's my favourite but also my least favourite. I think because it's hard I will try harder - to get it over the water!  

Best Golfing Tip: So many people give me advice, everyone is telling me everything, so can't select one thing. All i can say is that I wouldn’t be here without them though.  

Dream Golf Foursome: It would be with Michelle James, Alison Devereux, and Hans - our friend who is on the waitlist!  

Where would you love to play one day, and why? I am quite happy here.  

Golf Goal: Oh, too knock the 54 down - even to a 50  

Favourite thing about WGC: The course itself, it takes my breath away some mornings. It is gorgeous.
