Covid Rule Changes

Golf New Zealand has reviewed the changes in settings and regulations and believes there is no longer any need for any golf club to use My Vaccine Passes beyond Monday 4 April. One of golf’s greatest qualities is that it is an inclusive, healthy sport played outdoors in wonderful surroundings. We welcome the government’s announcement that from 11.59pm April 4 vaccine passes will no longer be required as part of the Covid-19 protection framework.

Changes to the CPF at RED from 11.59pm Friday 25 March:

Red Setting

  • Indoor capacity limits for gatherings and events with My Vaccine Pass will increase to 200 – this includes golf clubhouses and facilities.
  • There will be no limits for outdoor activities with My Vaccine Pass – such as gatherings, events, and food/drink retailers.
  • Face masks are no longer required at outdoor settings.
  • There is no requirement to scan in or for a business to display a QR code poster or have mandatory record keeping.

My Vaccine Pass
From 11.59pm Monday 4 April, My Vaccine Passes will no longer be required.

  • Until 4 April, where My Vaccine Passes are not used, the current restrictions remain — but after this time, the new capacity limits will apply to everyone.

At all levels, the testing and isolation requirements remain as they are now. If you have symptoms or someone in your household tests positive, isolate and get tested.

We will keep you updated as we move through the changes beyond 4 April 2022.

Member Accounts

To minimise any risk of mistakes applying charges to the incorrect account, we are asking all members that wish to use their accounts to physically present their card when making a purchase via the member account.

It also helps if members can top up accounts in advance of going upstairs.

Thanks in advance for your assistance in this matter. Most 2022/23 membership cards should now have arrived, however your old cards will still work in the interim.

Course Closed for Coring

The course will be closed for Coring on Tuesday 5th, Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th April. This will allow the team to continue with their green coring and renovations.

Fingers crossed for good weather.

Office Manager

Unfortunately for the club our office manager Jenny Macfarlane has been offered an exciting opportunity in London and will be leaving us towards the end of April.

We are therefore on the lookout for someone to take over the great work that Jenny has been doing.

Click Here to go to the Seek Job Advert or email gm@waitematagolf.co.nz for more details.

Membership

The response we’ve had from members to our renewal reminders has been very positive, with only a small number of members still with unpaid subs.  Those members have now had their tee booking privileges revoked.

If we don’t hear from you by Wednesday 6th April, your membership will be resigned.  If after that date you want to resume your membership, you will need to re-apply and be added to the waiting list.
