Hi all,

Entries are now open for the Strokeplay Club Championships. To register either click on the attached link or add your name to the registration sheets in the men's room.

Seniors play four rounds and all other divisions play two. The first two rounds for Seniors are on Saturday 7th May. Round 3 for Seniors, and Round 1 for all others will be held on Saturday 21st May and the final round for all will be held on Sunday 22nd May.

The divisional handicap breakdown will be:

Seniors             +5 - 6.9

Intermediate  7.0 - 12.5

Juniors            12.6 - 18.0

C Grade          18.1 - 24.0

D Grade         24.1 - 36.0

Entries will officially close on 6th May and handicap indexes at the end of that day will apply to determine playing divisions. However late entries may be accepted up until the day of play based on space availability. All members have the right to play in one division higher than their handicap dictates - if you wish to do this please advise Harrison.

From the Golf Committee

On Saturday 28th May we will be having a "Club Day" at Waitemata. The event will be teams of four in an Ambrose competition and will be open to all 18 hole Full Playing and Off Peak members.

Unfortunately we will be unable to accommodate visitors on the day. Entry is free and the prize table will be provided by the club.

More details will be provided closer to the time. Entries will open on 1st May

In response to comments about the Club's new hole-in-one policy, we are now pleased to announce that we have a new prize which we believe is a worthy reward for achieving the ultimate shot. Margaret and Paul Dunleavy are sponsoring a "three pack" of Te Motu wines which are worth significantly more than the old hole-in-one prize. One of the wines is a 2012 Te Motu - check their website for more details.

Our thanks go to Margaret and Paul for assisting the Club with this and it will officially be known as the "Margaret and Paul Dunleavy Hole-in-One prize". Just to confirm - this is only available to members of the Waitemata Golf Club and applies to members playing at other courses in New Zealand.
