Hi everyone,

FRIENDSHIP CUP

As previously advised this competition between North Shore, Pupuke and ourselves is being reintroduced and scheduled for Sunday November 5th. We have yet to fill our allocated spaces and it would certainly be good to field a full team of 32. For those not already entered please consider joining the Waitemata team - the registration sheet and full details are on the board in the Mens room.

Congratulations to all of the winners

SATURDAY SCRAMBLE

For the next few weeks members can enter the club scramble and then choose which set of tees they wish to play from. Options are: Achilles - Red, Royalist - White or Leander - Blue. Your playing handicap will change accordingly. If you choose a different set of tees than your playing partners please remain alert at tee-off time. The penalty for starting from the wrong tee spot is a two shot penalty and the mistake must be corrected. The jackpot starts this week at approx $150

Coring and Course Upkeep

The team have worked extremely hard over the past week to get the sand on the greens and prepare the course following coring. Thanks to Denis, Campbell, Andrew and Nick for their efforts.

Please help them out by continuing to repair pitchmarks on the newly cored greens, this is still necessary to help their recovery.

We also need to ensure that Bunkers are raked after play to ensure that they are left in the best possible condition for the next group.

Thanks in advance for your help with this.

SUMMER  SUNDAY  NINES

As the daylight hours grow longer, evening golf becomes appealing, so the Golf Committee is introducing a 9 hole Ambrose series, starting in November.  Entry is open to all club members, if you can play on a Sunday this is for you.  This is a chance to meet others, and enjoy a format where everyone contributes to the Team result.

You can enter as a Pair (which can be the same each week) or as a solo player. Your Team will have four players, and will vary from week to week.

There will be a rolling start from Tee 1, from 3.30 onwards. The Pro Shop will take entries and organise the draw. Entry fees are $5 per player.

Results will be posted by the Pro-shop and cash prizes awarded weekly.

Depending on interest shown in this series, information about the start date will follow.
