AGM Wrap-Up & Thank You

A big thank you to all members who attended our recent Annual General Meeting – your engagement and support are what keeps our club thriving.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Felicity Sotheran (Ladies Club Captain) and Colette Kraus (Director) for their dedication and valuable contributions to the Board. Your hard work and commitment have been greatly appreciated.

Please join us in welcoming Ockert Visser to the Board as Director and Rebecca Lewis as our new Ladies Club Captain – we look forward to your leadership in the year ahead.

We also acknowledge recent changes on the Golf Committee. A special thank you to John Caird (Men’s Vice Captain) and Colleen Bergin (Ladies Vice Captain) for their time and service in these roles.

A warm welcome to Christine Fleury and Penny Elliott who step into the Ladies Vice Captain positions, and to Nathaniel Milnes and Kevin Carroll as our new Mens Vice Captains. We’re excited to have you on board and appreciate your commitment to the club.

Time at WGC: Coming up on three years 

What got you interested in golf? Juliette Doddrell! We had a Ladies Cricket Team (very casual); and for some reason we started to get interested in golf so... 

Favourite hole: The fourth! I nearly got a hole-in-one there. I got the Nearest-the-Pin for Twilight that time as well. 

Best golfing tip: Juliette Doddrell (for tips!) 

Ideal golfing foursome: Miley Cyrus (I’d like to meet her), Brad Pitt, and George Clooney. 

Where would you love to play one day, and why? A fun course. Somewhere I can have a good time. 

Personal goal: I’d like to get a hole-in-one. Also, I’d like to Waitemata to win Pennants! 

What’s your favourite thing about WGC? The people.
