Ladies, it’s crunch time. Our 27th Birthday Bash is happening on Tuesday, 2 September, and the tee sheet is almost full. There are just 13 places left, and once they are gone, they are gone.

Yes, it is an earlier start (8:00 am briefing, 8:30 am shotgun), but this is about more than just showing up with a yawn. It is about being part of something bigger. These milestone events lift club morale, bring us together, and remind us why belonging to a community like ours is so good for us ladies. Sharing stories, laughs, playing side by side, and celebrating our club’s 27th year together is something you will want to be part of. Not to mention lunch after and great prizes and raffles.

Sand Buckets and Divots – A Committee Update

I attended the golf committee meeting this week on behalf of the 9-hole ladies. One of the key topics was divots. It is compulsory to carry a sand bucket. Even if you think you have a light swing that never digs up the ground, you still need to take one before heading to the first tee.

It is every member’s responsibility to repair not only their own divots but also any others you see while walking the course as leaving turf unrepaired causes long-lasting damage, which means more cost to us all in the long run as we have to have the grounds repaired.

New reminder signs are being installed, but in the meantime, let’s set the standard by carrying a sand bucket and making sure all divots are filled.

Extra Hands on Birthday Bash Day

We are still looking for 3 to 4 volunteers to arrive a little earlier on the day of the Birthday Bash (2 September). If you are available, please let Sheridan know. Many hands make light work.

Grab a friend, car pool and enter the pairs tournament at Warkworth Golf Club 9-Hole Open Day:
