Conservation Week - Vauxhall School Tree Planting

Thanks to the children of Vauxhall School who came down to the club on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week to assist with the tree planting project. Children also performed some water testing facilitated by the team at Restoring Takarunga Hauraki. 

Tuesday's session was attended by Julie Kidd from the Department of Conservation, who have partly funded this project. Collaboration between the Golf Club, Community Groups and Schools is exactly what funders are looking for as outcomes for their projects.

Aims Games Gold

AIMS Gold! Huge congratulations to Luke Tibbotts, William Mutch and Zenon Nicholas (all Waitemata Golf Club Members) who have just won the gold medal in the 18 Hole Golf team event representing Belmont Intermediate School.

Congratulations also to Angus O'Brien and William Crawford who have won bronze in the 9 Hole Golf competition. Well done boys what fantastic results!

Scorecard Scanners

We have been experiencing issues with the scorecard scanners, they have been recognising around 50% of scores when cards have been scanned. Following a process of elimination working with Dotgolf, the issue has been found to lie with the printer.

A new part for the printer has been ordered, and hopefully will arrive early next week which should solve the issue. 

In the meantime cards that do not scan are able to be entered manually.

Thanks for your patience in this matter while we rectify the issue. 

4th Hole

With the Grass Coverage on the new 4th Green now improving and the weather drying out we have been able to make a start on the drainage in the bunkers on the 4th hole. 

We're getting closer to being able to re-open this hole depending on the weather over the coming weeks.
