Hi all.

Due to the playing date changes of the Pengelly Trophy we were not able to announce this years  results on Hamper Day. The date changes caused a problem in the Dotgolf system and it took some time to correct them. Anyway this years winner was Greg Steele with a net six round score of 423 from Pete Hodge in second place.

Club Competitions will start again at the end of January but the Saturday scramble will remain the same throughout the Xmas/New Year period. Those that enter the scramble are able to choose which set of tees they wish to start from - tees available are: Achilles-Red, Royalist-White and Leander-Blue. Obviously you will need to decide prior to printing your card.

Lastly I would just like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and all the very best for 2024.

Good afternoon members,

Firstly I’d like to wish David well in his new role and thank him for everything he has done for the club over the years.

I have been fortunate to experience a warm genuine ,welcoming this club. I believe that our club should not only be a place for golf enthusiasts but also a welcoming environment for your families, friends, and loved ones. I intend to incorporate them into our activities, ensuring that everyone can enjoy our environment together, both on the course and across the social community of the club.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, suggestions, or ideas you may have.

I look forward to serving as your General Manager.

Kind regards,

Jamie Palmer

Hi All

With today being my last full day here in the office at the club, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the support that you have provided me during my three years at Waitemata. The Board, Members, Sponsors and Staff all contribute towards what in my opinion is a culture that is looked on by other clubs with admiration.

I am honoured to have been given the responsibility of managing the club over the last three years, and whilst challenging with Covid and Weather, I feel that we are in a strong position as we move into 2024.

Having spent the last two weeks with Jamie, I’m sure he will fit in well with the team and continue with the progress being made. I look forward to popping back from time to time to catch up with friends and colleagues. I leave with mixed feelings, I’m proud to have contributed in a small way to such a great club, sad to leave, however excited for the next chapter in my career and challenge that lies ahead.

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, thanks again for your support.

David
