CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS - MATCH PLAY

Competitors in the Seniors are playing one round of Gross this Saturday ( 17th Sept ) that will be used to determine the seeding order for the match play draw. All other divisions have been seeded based on handicap index as at 13th Sept which was the closing date for entries.

Competition Play

SENIORS - Qualifying this Saturday and Round 1 to be played by 1st Oct

INTERMEDIATE/JUNIORS/C GRADE - The first round for these grades will be 24th Sept. PLEASE NOTE: The draw for the Intermediates and C Grade has been redone and the booking sheet for next Saturday has been amended accordingly. Please check your emails and/or booking start sheet to confirm.

D GRADE - The first round for this grade will be 1st Oct

ALL DIVISIONS

Please DO NOT enter the club scramble on any day you are playing a match. If your match ends in a tie please check in with the shop to determine what next steps are possible in order to determine a result. Do not assume you have automatic tee rights to continue your match. The Saturday dates for each round is the final date that matches must be completed by. Competitors are free to play matches mid-week if this suits both of you. Please remember to complete the draw sheet or inform the pro-shop as to who won your match. It is not the shop staff's responsibility to chase results! Finals weekend is 15/16th October and the prizegiving will follow the completion of play on that Sunday.

Scanners

In an update to last weeks newsletter, the replacement part has arrived and scorecards are printing much clearer, this seems to have fixed the issue.

Please note if the scanner is not used for a period of time it switches to a power saving mode and needs to be switched on as per instructions on the wall above the scanners.

Golf North Competition Manager

Below from Golf North and could be of interest to soemone within the golfing community:

Golf North (formerly Harbour Golf) will be establishing a new position of Competitions Manager, which will enable North Golf to improve the level of service provided across the region. 

The new Competitions Manager role will not replace any of our outstanding volunteers who support North Golf to implement the various competitions and we will still need all of the invaluable support that all of these great volunteers provide.  

This position will initially be a fixed term 12-month position and if the first 12 months are a success, then we intend on making this position permanent. This new role will also enable our existing positions to have a more concentrated approach to the key areas of their responsibilities and improve the level of service provided to all clubs.
