Strategic Planning

We are just starting on the process of reviewing our current strategic plan to ensure that we have a plan in place that is fit for purpose, but also provides consistency when there are changes in the people sitting on the board. 

It is important that we have input into this process from a wide range of club members from different areas of the membership. It would also be good to get input of people who feel that they can add value to this process because of their background and experience in this planning process. It might be that someone is thinking of standing for a board position in the future, and would like to have an input at this stage. 

We are therefore asking for expressions of interest from members interested in being involved in this process. Please email : gm@waitematagolf.co.nz with a short explination of your reasons for volunteering. Depending on the interest, we may not be able to accomodate everyone, although there will be further opportunities to feedback as things progress. 

This Saturday 5^th November we will be hosting a Private event in the Clubhouse so there will be a different set up and seating plan to normal. Please do still come up for your post round refreshments. The room will be reserved from 7pm onwards.

It's coming up to our busy season and the festive season is just around the corner. We thank you for your continued support.

It's great to see that our Sawmill Bare Beer and Heineken zero sales are making up a huge percentage of our sales. Sawmill Bare beer has exponentially grown and it's good to see our members drinking responsibly. Should you need a safe form of transport home please feel free to ask the staff on alternative forms of transport home and consider your drive safe options.

Golf Q & A

You are invited to attend a Golfing Question and Answer session at the Waitemata Golf Clubhouse on Tuesday, 8^th November, at 6pm.

Golfing Professional Brad Shilton is inviting all interested parties to attend. Bring any golfing questions along and build your confidence in all things golf-related.

Brad will also outline information on Golfing Etiquette – including the all-important speed of play. Help speed up your game and get the most out of your golfing sessions.

This session was requested by several members, so we hope to see lots of you there.

Course Care

We kindly ask that care is taken when retrieving balls from the hole so that the edge of the hole is not damaged when doing so. 

We also ask that all members to ensure each others safety by not hitting up on the group you are following, and shouting fore if a wayward shot is heading towards other golfers.
