MENS HAMPER DAY

It's that time of year again and with Christmas just around the corner, the Mens Hamper Day and Prizegiving will be held on Sunday 11th December. With no covid restrictions this year the field will be opened up to "Off Peak" members as well as "Full Playing" members. However, if demand is unusually high priority may be given to FP members.

As is usual this is a 4BBB event so please register with your partner in the pro shop. The cost is $35pp and is required to confirm your entry. You can register on your own and the shop staff will endeavour to match you up with a partner.

The day will start around 8.00am with bacon rolls leading into a shotgun start at 9.00am. A light lunch will be served after golf in the clubhouse. Prizes are for pairs only ( no single prizes ) although this year we will include longest drives, two's and nearest the pins on par 3's.

Although the hosting of the Champion of Champions didn’t quite go according to plan, the efforts of so many at the Club made it a successful event. In the end Auckland weather was the winner on the day, as play had to be abandoned, and the second round was shortened to 9 holes only. Credit to the players who mostly just on with it. Colleen Bergin, our 9 Hole representative, gets extra mention as she took the honours for 2022 NH 9 Hole Champion.

Thanks to the Staff and Volunteers who worked together to deliver a great day for the players despite the weather conditions. 

Fingers crossed for better weather for our 18H Ladies Open Day next Monday.
